    So anyone based mostly outside the UK cannot smart manage their property in the UK using drayton products.

    Long distance management is surely the whole point of smart systems.

    I totally agree, I spend most of my time in the US and have a us hone. i cannot download the app to control my uk home heating? is there a workaround?

    I raised an issue with Wiser Drayton but they were unable to help(!)
    It's clear that "wiser" is different things in different countries but to restrict the app itself in this way is not really thought through.
    Possibly against EU law (unless bought in the UK) as all EU customers should be treated equally and by buying the product you are buying the app.

    Registering a second user in playstore only works if you have a local IP address I think.

    Whilst this does work, drayton wiser should just free up their apps for global download. If they must restrict use geographically they can track the location of the hub.
