(2nd Generation) What is the Energy section in the Wiser Home app? Follow

The Energy section in the Wiser Home app helps you understand how energy is being used in your home.

Depending on the devices installed in your Wiser system, you can use the Energy section to monitor your energy consumption, view your energy history without a grid monitoring device (PowerTag E).

Consumption data is available for the following devices:

  • Wiser 16 A Relay (Electrical Heat Switch)

  • Wiser Power Micromodule

  • Wiser Smart Plug

What can I see in the Energy section?

The information available will depend on the energy devices connected to your Wiser system.

Energy consumption (Live tab)

View live information about how much energy your connected devices are using. Each supported device will display the current consumption when in use

If you have multiple supported devices, the individual devices will provide information about the energy used by the connected appliances or loads. Tap on the device icon to view the name of the device in question

NOTE: The Live section will appear blank if no devices are currently in use, once the power output of a device is active it will appear in this tab once again.

Energy history (History tab)

Review your energy usage over time to help you identify patterns and understand when you are using the most energy. Historical information can help you compare your energy consumption and identify opportunities to reduce your usage.

The History tab can display your energy consumption on an hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly basis. It also provides a detailed breakdown of energy consumption, enabling you to monitor the usage of individual devices within your system.

Energy costs

You can enter your electricity tariff in the Wiser Home app to help monitor the estimated cost of the energy you use. When setting the tariff you will have the following options:

  • Flat rate
  • Peak/Off-Peak Hours rate
  • Feed in tariff

The accuracy of cost information depends on the tariff information entered in the app.

NOTE: The Tariff option available only if you have installed a supported energy monitoring device installed at your home

If you have not configured your tariff, a push notification will be sent after 2 weeks and the last reminder after 6 weeks.

How do I access the Energy section?

  1. Open the Wiser Home app.
  2. From the Home screen, tap Energy.
  3. Switch between the Live and History tabs depending on what you would like to view.

Why can't I see the Energy section?

The Energy section requires compatible energy devices to be installed and configured in conjunction with a Wiser 2nd Generation Hub/HubR

If you do not have any compatible energy devices, the Energy section may not be available. In this situation, you will still have access to the Insights tab.

Understanding your energy data

The Energy section is designed to help you understand your home's energy usage, through the supported devices, rather than provide a direct measurement of your entire home's consumption.

The devices installed in your system determine which energy information is available and how much detail you can see.
