Why do I see 0% saved in my Insights report? Follow
Don’t worry – you are already saving energy just by having Wiser installed. The 0% saved means that for some reason, your smart features (Eco Mode and Away Mode) were not able to save any extra energy just yet.
There are a few reasons why this could be:
- You have not enabled Eco Mode. To enable, please go to settings. Eco Mode does not activate for a room that's not following a schedule. Ensure this enabled to save as much energy as possible –
- The energy saving resets at the beginning of every month, so if it’s early in the month your features may not have had enough time to activate, be patient!
- It could be because it is warm outside and your heating would not have come on at all, so there is nothing to save!
- You are not using away mode, the more you use it, the more you will save
- And finally, always ensure your home address is correct in order to get the correct outdoor temperature for savings calculations, to check or edit this follow this guide

I have had Eco mode enabled since installation several years ago. Until this year Eco mode worked well and as expected but is no longer working. ie the boiler is not switching off ahead of the 'end' time, having calculated that the room will maintain the set temperature.Total savings for the last few months show 0 saving, whereas previous years data was fine. Something is amiss. How can this be resolved.
UPDATE: Boiler DOES now switch off ahead of scheduled time if room temperature can be maintained until that time but still Saved Energy still showing zero savings which is clearly erroneous.
I also have the same issues with Eco mode.
I’ve seen it ONCE (about a month ago) and it was briefly on for a very short while. It’s never shown before and never again. It said I’d saved 0% so it didn’t even count on the “saved” calculation.
I think somethings not quite right with the app.
I have had my Wiser for 9 weeks and the Energy saving and ECO are still showing nothing, the Activity and environment are working, how the weather affects your heating and heat report is working. I have had the ECO on from the day I set the system to work.
@Paul. I think there’s a bug in the app or algorithm. I just don’t see the flexibility with data that I’d like. Eco mode is showing nothing and data seems scarce at best. Little history gained. No humidity reported anywhere from the room thermostat. No landscape mode to see data in more detail. There’s too many areas for improvement.
I’ve had to contact support as the app only opens 50% of the time on the home WiFi for the last few months. I have to switch to mobile data to control the house.
I’m putting it down to the buggy app.
The app certainly seems to have got a lot worse since last winter. My wife can rarely get into it at all (no issues last year) and I frequently have issues esp getting loading insights.
Loading Insights was really bad for me up until the last few months and (luckily) it’s not been too bad recently, although it takes a few seconds to load.
Both myself and my partner can’t get onto the app most of the time. Having to shut off the WiFi on the phone makes me think it’s the app misbehaving or the HubR on home WiFi wouldn’t work over our mobile connection. I’ve sent a support ticket so let’s hope they can look at it. We’re on the verge of putting in something else if we can’t get an improvement.
Forgot to add in my comment, sometimes in insights it sometimes will not load, tell me to try again then takes about a minute to load without the energy savings showing
Eco mode stopped working for me months ago (possibly over a year). I raised a ticket with wiser but was told everything was fine, TBH I felt fobbed off. There is a problem with eco mode, they just are not fixing it.

Yep - it's not very clear! In the app - tap the cog upper right - select support - select help - select contact us. They normally respond quite quickly. I'm interested to see if there's a fix. 👍

I posted this above “ I’ve had to contact support as the app only opens 50% of the time on the home WiFi for the last few months. I have to switch to mobile data to control the house.” and they responded fast. They asked me to send logs and in around two weeks there was an update which I downloaded yesterday. This problem is now fixed.
Let’s hope we can get Eco Mode working now. I’ve seen it appear for a few minutes mid-December. I’m not sure what triggered it but I was away for a week and the house was empty. I didn’t turn off the heating fully but kept it a little warm. Somehow the Eco Mode symbol appeared in two rooms but always stated no savings in the insights section.
I've just installed my system three weeks ago. All working well but I'm not seeing any savings shown on my eco insight even though I can see rooms being shown as being in eco mode.
