Why do I need a room thermostat if the radiator valves will control the temperature?
It would be very helpful if you could please answer the question submitted by someone 2 years ago “Why do I need a room thermostat if the radiator valves will control the temperature” and call for heat.
The valves use an algorithm to calculate the temperature in the center of the room but the thermostat controls the temperature better I have bought a couple of extra thermostats SH on ebay more even room temperature
I have a space/room with a room thermostat and radiators with Wiser TRV's, if the room thermostat stat calls for heat and the boiler to fire, does it also signal the TRV's to open (doesn't appear to be the case)
e.g. Room stat set to 20deg and detects temperature drops to 19deg
radiator stats set to 20deg but detect temperature of 21

To sum up, when the room has multiple radiators equipped with Wiser TRV’s and a Room Thermostat, the room thermostat will take precedence over the TRV’s. Therefore the hub will follow the temperature logic of the thermostat.
In addition, in this FAQ you can understand how temperatures are measured by both devices.
