Using IFTTT with Wiser Follow
IFTTT, which stands for If This Then That, is an Internet of Things (IoT) platform which Wiser can integrate with to provide enhanced functionality. IFTTT enables you to link smart products together to create new actions. For example, you can set up a command that says, “When I leave the house activate away mode”
These triggers, and subsequent actions, can be set-up between Wiser and any other smart device with IFTTT integration. There are a range of ready-made Applets with specific functions on the Wiser IFTTT page to get you started.
Connecting couldn’t be easier, just follow these simple steps:
1. Set-up a free account with IFTTT
2. Link your Wiser account with IFTTT.
3. Then simply visit the Wiser Channel and you’re ready to start using the ready-made Applets.
IFTTT integration is currently focused around Away Mode as an end action. This can be activated by a variety of triggers such as geofencing. Explore the full range of applets

I’ve tried setting this up but it’s not clear how to set it up for multiple household members to enable away mode on and off for last person leaving or first person returning. Can you help?
It's not possible at this moment I believe unfortunately as they used a 3rd party (like a few thermostats) for that and that party no longer support IFTTT.
Hopefully Drayton are working on a fix as this is less than ideal
Hi, I used the IFTTT app over a few days. Some of the time when I actually left the house it worked fine. But a lot of the time, when I walked to the garage or went into the garden, it figured that I had left the area and turned Away Mode ON without turning it back OFF when I went back into the house. I was only 20 metres from the house. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks
Seggy
I'm experiencing exactly the same problem as above, I can be in my house and it sets away mode on, then it never seems to turn it off again, very frustrating.
Sadly the IFTTT geofencing only works for a single person and this will be controlled by the person who has the IFTTT account linked to their Wiser app on their phone. If the account holder leaves the house with his phone, you turn the heating off for those still at home. Despite this, the IFFTT applets don't even work half of the time with a single occupant which makes using IFFTT unreliable for controlling the geofencing.
Drayton/Schneider have been aware of these issues since Life360 integration was removed nearly 2 years ago, yet no one in the company can give you a straight answer as to whether this is being addressed and when it is likely to be implemented. This is pretty poor service given that the Away Mode offers the biggest cost saving, so getting this working automatically should be a priority for the company.
I contacted both Drayton and Schneider with useful feedback of their product with a long list of issues or improvements to make this a market leader, but no one has ever acknowledged me or provided me with any sort of update. I suspect that the company may have just given up on trying to further improve this product. I trialled this in my own home in preparation for doing customer installs, hoping to see some further improvements down the line. As nothing has ever materialised over the last 12 months, i've taken the decision to stop any further Wiser installations. I now recommend installing Tado to all my customers as the geofencing is built into their own app and they have many useful features that the Wiser system lacks.
