3. How to Install It?

Installing the Wiser Smoke Alarm involves the following steps:

• Select Installation Location: Choose appropriate locations for installation, such as ceilings or walls, avoiding areas near windows, doors, or ducts to prevent false alarms.
• Mount the Device:
  • For Battery-Powered Models:
    1. Remove the mounting base from the device.
    2. Use the provided screws to attach the base to the selected location
    3. Align the device with the base and twist it clockwise until it locks into place.
  • For 230V AC-Powered Models:
    1. Ensure power is turned off at the circuit breaker.
    2.  Connect the wiring to the appropriate terminals on the mounting base, following the wiring diagram in the user manual.
    3.  Secure the base to the ceiling or wall using the provided screws. Attach the smoke alarm to the base by aligning and twisting it clockwise until it locks.
    4. Restore power at the circuit breaker.
• Pair with the Wiser Hub:
  1. Before mounting, locate the power switch on the rear side of the device and turn it to the 'ON' position.
  2. Open the Wiser Home app and navigate to the device pairing section.
  3. Press the Setup/Reset button on the smoke alarm three times within 2 seconds; the LED will blink yellow, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  4. In the app, select 'LED is blinking yellow' and tap 'Start Configuration.'
  5. Wait for the app to confirm successful pairing, indicated by a solid green LED on the device.
