1. For What Purpose?

The primary function of the Wiser Radiator Thermostat is to enhance your home's heating efficiency by allowing individual control of radiators. By installing this device, you can:

  • Achieve Zoned Heating: Set different temperatures for various rooms, ensuring comfort where needed and conserving energy in unoccupied spaces.
  • Increase Energy Efficiency: By heating only the rooms in use, you can reduce overall energy consumption, leading to potential cost savings.

2. How Does It Work?

The Wiser Radiator Thermostat operates by:

  • Valve Adjustment: Automatically adjusting the flow of hot water through the radiator to maintain the desired room temperature.
  • Wireless Communication: Connecting via the Zigbee protocol to the Wiser Hub, enabling remote control and scheduling through the Wiser Home app.

3. How to Install It?

Installing the Wiser Radiator Thermostat involves the following steps:

  • Remove the Existing Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV) Head:
    • Unscrew the existing TRV head from the radiator valve body.
    • Ensure the valve body is compatible with the Wiser Radiator Thermostat. If not, appropriate adapters may be required.
  • Install the Wiser Radiator Thermostat:
    • Align the Wiser Radiator Thermostat with the valve body
    • Hand-tighten the chrome ring nut to secure the thermostat. Avoid using tools to prevent damage.
    • Ensure the O-ring is seated firmly on the thread to prevent leaks.
  • Insert Batteries:
    • Remove the battery cover by unscrewing the designated screws.
    • Insert the provided batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
    • Reattach the battery cover securely.
  • Pair with the Wiser Hub:
    • Open the Wiser Home app on your smartphone or tablet.
    • Navigate to the device pairing section and select "Add Device."
    • Choose "Add Device with Install Code" for a secure connection.
    • Scan the install code located on the thermostat or enter it manually.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.
  • Configure Settings:
    • Assign the thermostat to a specific room within the app.
    • Set desired temperature schedules and preferences for each room.
    • Utilize features such as boost mode for temporary temperature increases.
